Nonetheless, Warzone fans will be excited to hear that a new leak might have revealed the release date of Warzone 2. An internal document from Activision seems to have found its way to the r/classicwow Reddit. The post has since been deleted but the image (embedded below) shows key dates for several Activision Blizzard games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The image was uploaded to the World of Warcraft subreddit initially because it contains several Warcraft game dates too.
According to the leaked document, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is set to release on November 16, 2022, which is not too far after the global launch of Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2 is already confirmed for a release on October 28, 2022. This means Warzone 2 will arrive less than a month after the full release of Modern Warfare 2. Regarding the authenticity of this document, nothing is certain. However, there are no errors or other obvious signs that would point to it being fake. Another reason to believe this document is that it has the date for “COD: Cortez” as October 27, 2022. Cortez is the codename for Modern Warfare 2, which is officially scheduled for October 28, 2022, and the document states October 27, 2022. All in all this, is excellent news having regard to the numerous pieces of outstanding Warzone community feedback that exist, and the developers having sufficient time before the holidays to push patches fixing bugs, and other issues that players might run into.

In addition to the date, the document also contains the release time. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is set to release at 10 A.M. PT on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. As we don’t have any official confirmation from Activision about this new leak, we’ll need to wait and see how it all unfolds.
