According to a new job listing, Bungie is looking to hire a “Senior Executive, Development (Film, TV, Transmedia)”, whose role at the company will be to “drive projects that extend the Destiny franchise into new categories including TV, films, books, comics and audio formats.” In a cheeky reference, the job listing even refers to this executive-to-be as the ‘guardian’ of the IP. Night City’s different districts offer a variety of environments and aesthetics - today we get a better look at the barren Badlands and the decrepit neighborhood of Pacifica. The Badlands region is the game’s “odd one out” regarding environment design and its role, since instead of being a district in Night City, this is the outskirts, largely untouched by urban development. Skyscrapers and slums are replaced by oil fields, junkyards, landfills and barren wastelands ruled by roaming nomads and small clusters of exiles, criminals and anyone hiding from the dangers of the city....
After being leaked a few days ago, EA officially unveiled Need for Speed Unbound and gave it a December 2 release date. It will be exclusive to current-gen consoles, which should at least guarantee that it will look awesome. The company’s CEO, Adam Kicinski, revealed in an investor meeting that the company will release a GOTY edition for Cyberpunk 2077 next year after the first and only paid expansion, Phantom Liberty, makes its debut. Kicinski describes this as part of the “natural order of things”, referring to how CDPR got its GOTY Edition after the company rolled out Blood and Wine as well as Hearts of Stone. As a public company, EA must routinely disclose its annual plans via presentations such as the Q2 earnings report it has released. As part of the documents, EA revealed the release windows of all its games planned for FY2023, which runs from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023. The first on the list is Codemasters’ F1 2022, which already came out on June 28 this year. Looking forward, fans can expect FIFA 23 and Madden NFL 23 on September 27 and August 15, respectively....
