According to Variety, shooting on the megashark sequel at Warner Bros.’ Leavesden Studios outside of London has officially started. The sequel, which will be titled Meg 2: The Trench, will presumably see Jason Statham dance with the titular shark once again. Meanwhile, after directing the first film, Jon Turteltaub is no longer coming back with High-Rise’s Ben Wheatley joining to direct a movie that could have a PG-18 rating. Earlier reports about The Meg 2’s status claim that Statham was disappointed with the films’ PG-13 rating....
According to Polygon, Marty and Mike are suing Microsoft over 20 years’ worth of unpaid royalties with O’Donnel Salvatori Inc., mediating with Microsoft (as per Eurogamer). The lawsuit comes at an inopportune time for Halo as the series is preparing for its first live-action adaptation on Paramount in March. To make matters worse, O’Donnell claims that the two composers’ joint studio could file an injunction and prevent the show from airing if the issue is not resolved soon....
Technically, this isn’t new information. We found out last year that Ubisoft had pushed back Prince of Persia’s release date with no further release date offered. Although we got some good news that the game’s original studio, Ubisoft Montreal, had taken over the remake’s development, it still does not mean that the game is coming out anytime soon. Now, to clarify any confusion, Ubisoft has confirmed in a statement to IGN that the troubled game is not canceled and work is still ongoing at Ubisoft Montreal....
