For the most eager of you, we are also very happy to announce that we will hold an open beta of the game in the near future. We’ll share more news on how you can sign up to register soon, so keep your spyglass. Skull and Bones take inspiration from the naval combat of the Assassin’s Creed games. The swashbuckling sim was first revealed at E3 2017 but has since been constantly delayed. Save for the release date reveal earlier this year, most assumed that Skull and Bones would never come out. It’s believed that Ubisoft was thinking of canceling Skull and Bones but it had to launch the game due to the tax subsidies it received from the Singapore government. At the moment, the only game that Ubisoft that’s scheduled to come out later this year is Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope on October 20. Fans are now hoping that Skull and Bones will set sail right before Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
