Once again, the incoming DCEU actor is in the spotlight for the latest Black Adam poster. “The time of heroes is over,” reads the poster’s tagline, suggesting that the Justice Society will have its hands full trying to turn Black Adam into anything but an anti-hero. But, when you’ve spent a couple of hundred years locked and imprisoned after being touted as a righteous champion, you can’t exactly blame Teth Adam for seeing things differently than most. Here’s the film’s official synopsis: Black Adam’s arrival comes just as Warner Bros. Discovery is making significant changes to the DCEU as presently constructed. If Black Adam can become the first box office hit for the DCEU in what seems like forever, it could potentially launch a subset of other films starring the many interesting characters that we’ll see in the film. The JSA isn’t new to comic book fans, but those who have only followed the DCEU exclusively will find plenty of fresh faces. Hopefully, Johnson can bring his penchant for winning audiences over to the DCEU with his appearance after a decades-long battle to get Black Adam made. It’s worth noting that the films that Johnson has starred in or appeared in the past two years have been greenlit for a sequel, including Jungle Cruise, Free Guy, Red Notice, and DC League of Super-Pets.
